Meet The Board Members
Dr. Nikita Pete
Sexual Health & Wellness
DNP-APRN,FNP-BC a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional, is a three-time alumna of the University of South Carolina. With a background spanning primary care, education, home health, and inpatient care, she currently practices in South Carolina, specializing in caring for incarcerated youth.
Zariyah Allen
Youth Member & Marketing
An aspiring social worker and sexual health educator, is a trained community organizer, researcher, and youth development professional. She dedicates herself to ensuring that marginalized communities are unequivocally seen, heard, and celebrated. With a proclivity for crafting policies, initiatives, and programs that support the betterment of young people.
Ashley James
Project Management
Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Clark Atlanta University, is currently pursuing a master’s in Information Technology with concentration in project management. As the owner of mental health cypher, she serves as a mental health advocate, creating a safe platform for individuals to discuss their mental health.
Devon Williams
Advocacy & Harm Reduction
Public health professional and harm reduction specialist based in Denver, CO by way of Dallas, TX. Her background includes behavioral health, STI testing and treatment, HIV prevention and treatment navigation, health equity and syringe access. Devon is a sexual wellness activist, Writer and co-host of Beneath the Briefs sexual wellness podcast, and staunch proponent of healthy equity and anti-stigma sexual wellness for all.
Kristy Escoto
Administration & Marketing
Graduate student at Kennesaw State University studying Social Work. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She is a self-published author of I’m Still Healing: a poetry collection of love and trauma. Kristy is passionate about the intersection of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities, including the issues that arise in these marginalized communities such as intimate partner violence and sexual health awareness.
Kristal Nicholas
Reproductive Wellness
Seasoned registered labor and delivery nurse, brings her expertise to the forefront of maternal health. With a deep commitment to making a meaningful impact, Kristal passionately works towards addressing and ending maternal mortality crisis, with specific emphasis on improving outcomes for women of color. Through her experience and advocacy, she strives to contribute significantly to the betterment of maternal healthcare.
Monique Morris
Financial Management
Graduate of North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor’s in Human Resources & Management, currently resides in Houston, TX, working as a project manager. With a keen focus on self-care and wellness, Monique is the owner of Mo’Aromas, offering self-care scented candles to enhance relaxation and well-being.
Shakti Shetty
Global Sexual Health
MPH is a public health specialist and researcher with an 7+ years of experience working in HIV + sexual and reproductive health, both internationally and domestically. She is passionate about creating culturally inclusive and informed sexual health education alongside ensuring diverse groups have access to research in digestible and informative formats.

Research & Evaluation
Dedicated to diverse populations and facilitating health equity strategies. She has spent the past decade dedicating her career to making sexual and reproductive health a priority in diverse settings such as universities, state health departments, global healthcare agencies, and non-profit organizations.
